    Dined with Nanny. Attended Opera. Dined at Spanish Embassadress', Pelham's there. Part of company missed due to business at House of Commons. Assembly also not so full due to a Concert at Duchess of Beaufort's. Lord North's Levee, not well attended. Old Mr. Harris much pleased by son's decoration. Visited Mr. Hooper, very hearty. Drawing Room; presentation of Lady Elizabeth Burrell. Late Mr. Burrell contrived to get for himself & family a grant of that house in Priory Garden supposed to be designed for the Surveyor General. Dined at Lord Pelham's, attended Lady Pelham & three unmarried daughters to the Play; Othello by [unnamed] young gentleman. Fritz unimpressed. Lord Hinton very attentive to Miss Pelham, cannot judge his intentions. Good match if it happened. Frames for Mr. Parker's Murillo's; chooses to have them made in Spain, something similar to Grantham's frame for large Madona [sic]. Lord Ossory's divorce; not sure of truth of it. It is said that Bishop of Bangor (John Moore) intends to bring in Bill to regulate dissolution of marriages. Lord Stormont made excellent speech having been attacked by Duke of Richmond for voting by Proxy for the repeal of the Stamp Act. Lord Suffolk; not thought possible for him to continue in Office due to Gout. Gone to Bath. Subscribed one guinea to a proposal, enclosed [not present]. Coloured print of a Lady & two children sent a while ago is from this collection. Will send two first numbers privately. Deciphered message; "Almodobar complains much of our delay; I have no notion of whatever intends to do". Morton Eden off to Denmark. The minority much elated with their great division, no consequences expected from it. Accounts from West Indies favourable.
