    Agrees with Grantham's actions regarding the Duque de Medina Sidonia's horse; accept it & keep it for England if he persists with offer. Doesn't see how he can easily be quits with Duque etc... Enquires after Carvajal's beasts and name of ship on which Alexander O'Reilly, Carabinero Almagro, Chico Mio and Roberto Rozinante travel. Happy at success of plateau, may not be so much admired here, not customary to have the dormant on the table during dinner. Thinks the scheme for converting old dishes into covers a reasonable one, may not be done so well in Spain as England, difference in look of English & foreign silver. Has seen fine service of plate made for Mr. Campbell, didn't like cloches. Misplaced decorative medallions on sides etc. Hasn't seen Turennes better than Granthams, Lord Pelham's are squat urns.
