Sir, The Chevalier Lambert who has just given me the letter with which your Excellency has honoured me has also just received the 20 Louis in payment for the sword which you sent me by M le Marquis de [Fassioli?]. I could not be more happy with the sword, I have great pleasure in thanking your Excellency for the trouble he took on my behalf. I only wish for the opportunity to show you how sensible I am of your courtesy, and, being persuaded that you will not spare me if I may be useful to you for anything, I have the honour to be Your Excellency’s very humble and very obedient servant, Riccia [On wrapper in English] 1772 Prince de la Riccia Paris 20 Nov Received 21 December.
