    Begs a favour; can Lord Galway fill a vacancy in Grantham's Department. Shelburne aware that Grantham determined to "accommodate Government with a provision for Sir Richard Worsley in preference to any new person whatever Mr. Elliott being preferr'd much against my Will". Shelburne involved in a "very troublesome negotiation" because of this, thought he had brought it to a conclusion favourable to Grantham in suggesting Galway. Very important that Captain Smith in Parliament when Peace debated. If Writ not moved today it cannot be. No chance of looking elsewhere. Shelburne unable to carry on King's Government if it's refused.
