  • Scope and Content
Thanks Grantham for a very satisfactory abstract. Will call on Grantham at Whitehall between one and two tomorrow, hopefully without disturbing Lady Grantham. Asks Grantham to send the dispatches early tomorrow morning, that he may read and reflect on them before returning them. Will be necessary to send to the Duke of Grafton and may be desirable to see the King first. Thinks the first day the Cabinet can meet will be Wednesday, by which time Strachey may have returned. Sends note for the Duke of Grafton, for Grantham to enclose when he writes to him. P.S. Asks Grantham to intimate to the Duke of Grafton the object of the Cabinet, which seems to turn upon Spain. The hazard of conveyance may make it unsafe to enter into too many particulars.
