- Scope and ContentTranslation: Sir, Brocard has given me the letter you were pleased to write to me yesterday, by reason of the fact that I went with him to see the workman who is making the silver piece for the inkstand in question, he promised us that it will be ready on Wednesday without fail. Brocard will come to fetch it on the same day. The pieces will be better made than those of hatched silver and I am mortified that the maker did not keep his word. As for the outlay, I beg Your Excellency not to trouble yourself about it given that this house is very pleased to be of service to Your Excellency. I enclose the purses that I have, if they suit they can come the same way. Those with the gold rings come from Paris, and if they are not requested from Paris, there is now way of having them here. Your Excellency's very humble and obedient servant, Fran Am Perez.
