    Recites: Demise for 1,000 years - 24 May 1586; H Willson of Wingfield, Chalgrave and J Celcho of Tebworth, Chalgrave to J Stratton late of Aspley Guise, husbandman Messuage, close (2 acres), 10 acres arable, one ley (1 rood), 1 acre meadow, in Aspley Guise, late in occupation J Stratton, which before that time were reputed to be copyhold, held of Lord Cheney of Toddington and wife Lady Jane, as of manors of Tingrey, Dixwell and Youngs. Assignment to William Stratton of London, brewer - 31 August 1598 Assignment to Paul Whitmore, citizen and scrivener of London - 12 January 1613/4 Assignment to Edmund Stratton of Aspley Guise, husbandman - 20 July 1616 i) now assigns to ii) : Plot of ground, 24 x 17 feet, 2.'s yard lying S. and W., her orchard lying N.; with one bay of building standing on the plot, 17 x 16 feet, which is the west end of a barn of two bays standing the yard belonging to the messuage assigned to Edmund Stratton. The timber in the middle which divides the two bays is part of the said Edmund Stratton's, i.e. "two coller postest, the girdinge beame upon the wall plates, two studds upon the said beame and under the side pieces, and the winge beame under the side pieces". The other part of the timber, i.e. "one groundsill, eight studds and the walls are the said Anne Greenough's, and likewise the mownde betwixt the said barne and the north side to the banke of the orchard"
