- Scope and ContentReceived Grantham's letter of 27 December, and according to Grantham's wished send the bills for £500 as usual. Will pay upon presentation Grantham's draft for his Escurial house, and have placed to the credit of his separate account 30,000, which leaves the balance at 45,000 Reals. Also send this month's account current, the balance of which they place to the credit of next month's account. Whatever sums Grantham directs will be sent to Messrs. Brodeirs and Messrs. Duff and Welsh. Will have ready the 27,000 to be sent at the first notice to Grantham. Wish Grantham the compliments of the season.
