Harris has asked Grantham to supply Mr. Beylie for his journey. Beylie is to consult with Joyes about what may be necessary - about 100 Louis - which Joyes should then advance to him. Grantham will reimburse them as soon as he hears from Harris how he may reimburse himself. 3 December 1774. ** [On reverse. Text in French]. Lascage the sum of £600, by virtue of the letter of credit from Joyes and Sons at Madrid, by order of his Excellence My Lord Grantham, English Ambassador at Madrid, and for the account of Mr. Harris, English Envoy at the Court of Berlin, made in duplicate at Bayonne." 19 December 1774. ** [Enclosed.
