  • Title
From Thomas Robinson, 2nd Baron Grantham. Sends samples and patterns as asked. Poplins given to Grantham as present by his friend the late Provost of [Trinity College] Dublin [Francis Andrews] four years ago, forwarded by Dr. Achmet, with whom Grantham thus came in contact. The poplins were admired in Madrid and he was asked to obtain some for his acquaintances at court, trade grew from there, partly as Achmet sent 79 suits when 33 were ordered, and Grantham sold the surplus. Worried as now learns trade illegal.
