Copy draft letter from Earl de Grey to Vice Admiral Sir William Digby KCB. Being vey desirous of giving a fair share of employment to the different Ranks of Officers in HM's service and finding that you have not hoisted your Flag as Commander in Chief since the Peace in 1815, I am anxious to know whether you would like to be now employed on the West India Station "in the event of Sir George Cockburn giving it up by accepting a seat at this Board", if accept, "I should wish to see you".
