Letter from E M Carrick regarding 8 The Embankment, Bedford. Mrs Carrick wrote to Mrs Attwood to tell her that Mr & Mrs Carrington were arriving 22 November, and requesting Mrs Attwood gave orders for fires to be lit. Mrs Attwood replies that the house passed out of Mrs Phipps hands 'last Monday', so is not entitled to do anything at the house. Mrs Carrick requests that Stafford and Rogers arrange for the house to be made ready, as she does not know who is responsible.
