Robert Gage versus Symon Mallory, Anthony Muscoote, Edward Maunsell and Humphrey [---], defendants R Gage has acquired the interest held by Edward Saunders, esquire deceased in the fishing of the river Nene which runs by Woodford, which Saunders held by lease from the Crown, owner of the manor of Raunds and 2 several waters or fishings in the River Nene as parcel of the Duchy of Lancaster Draft answer of Symon Mallory as to his rights in the moiety of the river running next to his lands in Woodford [with details - Williwatts water mill mentioned] Notes of evidences including extracts from rental of Walter Ilger (c.1400) and the award made by Sir Robert Tirrit, Edward Griffin, John Pickering and Christopher Lewes 1 April 5 Elizabeth 1563, and also a bill of complaint of Symon Mallory (deceased) claiming a moiety of the fishing by virtue of a grant from Sir Robert Tirrit then steward of the Duchy of Lancaster
