Remainder to sons, and then to daughters of b) and c) - Prebend of Mydrim was assigned to d) for residue of term of 21 years in trust reciting marriage of W H Rooper and C Astell reciting death of C Astell leaving only one child, William Trevor Rooper, an infant of 4 years, who by indenture of settlement is entitled to lands etc expectant on decease of i) and ii) now in consideration of marriage of ii) and iii) i) and ii) release to iv) - messuage at Hockley [Hockliffe], formerly in occupation of John Hack - several closes meadow and pasture near adjoining or belonging (15 acres) called The Little Orchard, The Long Close, The Meadow Close and The Narrow Close also in Hockley and in occupation of John Hack - Piersons Closes (10 acres) in Hockley formerly in occupation of John Hack lying next to Fisher's Close on one side and common way leading to Church on East all which were purchased by Daniel Burton of Thomas Read and wife, Susannah - 3 closes pasture and meadow ground (l8 acres) in Hockley : West (part) Sarah Keeble : West (part) Benedict Coles : East heirs of John Marsh, Gentleman, deceased (formerly Doggetts) : North formerly Richard Cox : South into lane from Hockley to Leighton Buzzard all formerly in occupation of John Hack and were formerly purchased by Thomas Burton the father, of Arthur Dobney the younger and Susannah his wife - Shaw Close (ley, formerly ploughed) (5 acres) in Hockliffe in occupation of John Hack : East heretofore Arthur Dobney and formerly of Thomas Burton : West Egginton Field : South Thomas Green alias Gladman : North formerly Mr Reddall and afterwards of Richard Cox - 3 closes pasture and meadow near Shaw's Close (11 acres) formerly in occupation of John Hack : South Mr Reddall, afterwards Richard Cox : North formerly Richard Mann afterwards Edward Mann : East Mr Ditchfield : West Egginton Field formerly purchased by Thomas Burton, deceased, of Benedict Coles and Elizabeth Coles, his mother - close pasture (2 acres) in Hockliffe formerly in occupation of Judith Cox : North and South late Thomas Burton, deceased, formerly Richard Cox : West Thomas Burton, deceased, formerly in tenure of Richard Cox : East common lane to Hockliffe Church formerly purchased by Thomas Burton, deceased, of Blandina Marsh and Mary Lockington - several parcels of meadow and pasture (22 acres) in Hockliffe formerly in occupation of John Hack : East formerly William Pierson and late of Thomas Burton, deceased : South part of Eggington common fields : West formerly Henry Hill and late of Thomas Burton, deceased : North brook from Hockliffe to Leighton Buzzard all purchased by Thomas Burton, deceased, of Richard Cox, elder, and Richard Cox, younger - messuage at Hockliffe formerly in occupation of Judith Cox - 8 several closes of pasture in Hockliffe (98 acres) in occupation of said Judith Cox - The Meads (12 acres) - Fullers Ground (10 acres) - The Home Close (22 acres) - North Meads and the Leys (12 acres) - Dunstable Hill (18 acres) - Spright Pasture (15 acres) - The Five Acres - Little Meadow belonging (4 acres) all were purchased by Thomas Burton, deceased, of Mathew Disney - messuages and closes called Chason Hill, Paul's Mead, Little Mead, Lang alias Long Furlong, North Mead, and Coppice alias Coppit Moors (100 acres in total) in Hockliffe or Chalgrave and were purchased by Thomas Burton, deceased, of Michael Impey and Elijah Impey and were formerly in occupation of Michael Read and were formerly in occupation of Michael Read and John Hack and except so much as were given up in exchange for lands etc described as follows: - close of pasture in Hockliffe known as Lady's Close (3 acres 2 roods) - Old Close (3 roods 5 perches) formerly in occupation of Michael Read and which were part of certain closes called Fisher's Close (10 acres) as in lease and release of 20 and 21 April 1774 1) Reverend Daniel Burton, D D, Chancellor of the Diocese of Oxford 2) Honourable John Trevor and wife Harriott 3) Reverend Clayton Mordaunt Crackerode, Clerk Robert Trevor, Esquire said property was described as lying next to Fishers Close and east on way leading to the Church, and were purchased by Daniel Burton and Thomas Read - close of pasture in Hockliffe called Manns Close otherwise Trull Baulk (5 acres) with the land of 2) on both sides in occupation of John Olney and was part of certain closes (61 acres) in lease and release of 5 and 6 November 1744 and conveyed by the Reverend Westley Knight and wife Elizabeth to Thomas Gilpin (reserving a right of way on South side of pasture of 24ft width - annuity of £90 payable out of the Manors of Chilworth, Great Chilworth and Little Chilworth and Coombe Carnon in Chilworth, Great Chilworth, Coombe alias Coombe Carnon and Great Milton, Oxfordshire to be held by iv) on usual trusts (subject to interest of William Trevor Rooper) and to male heirs in order of seniority of birth and then to male heirs of John Rooper, second son of i) and his male heirs and then to George Rooper, third son of i) and his male heirs, and then to Edward Rooper, 4th son of i) and his male heirs. With various provisions to ensure payment of insurance policy, rent charge of £500 etc Above provisions for iii) and in deed of even date are intended by way of jointure for her and in bar of dower as she might otherwise be entitled to on death of ii) with provision for i), John, George and Edward Rooper to make further payment of £200 for any woman who might become the widow of any of them, if her husband would have actually been in possession of the estates. Total chargeable at any one time - £700. provisions for exchange of estates and sale. Money received to be invested in public funds etc also i) and ii) transfer to iv) - prebend of Mydrim with tithes etc demised by lease of - [?unknown date] for residue of term of 21 years subject to estate of William Trevor Rooper on trust to pay rents etc. Also similar trusts to above provided that no one shall take an absolute interest in said prebend until 21. Trustees to have power to renew said lease also iv) are possessed of an insurance policy numbered 14432 of the West of England Insurance Company to secure £3000 on life of ii), this shall be held by them, after the marriage, for the benefit of iii). ii) agrees to pay premiums etc also i) agrees that if ii) dies before him leaving iii) his widow, then he will pay her £100 Provision to appoint new trustees signatures of all endorsed various witnesses
