    Copy Surrender i) John Nathaniel Foster formerly of Biggleswade now of Sandy Place, esquire John Marsom Green formerly of Biggleswade now of Calverty Road, Tunbridge Wells, Kent, merchant's clerk (surviving trustees) to use of: ii) John Nathaniel Foster formerly of Biggleswade now of Sandy Place, esquire John Marsom Green formerly of Biggleswade now of Calverty Road, Tunbridge Wells, Kent, merchant's clerk James Batson, market gardener John Broom, grocer William Ekins, corn dealer Thomas Willsdon Spong, chemist John Benjamin Ryland, draper Walter Robarts, butcher George Winters, farmer Edward Twelvetrees, builder Charles Albert Heath, gentleman [all of Biggleswade] George Edward Foster, of Cambridge, banker [All except first two are newly elected trustees] recites: Admission 3 May 1844 of: Richard Foster, Cambridge Henry Staples Foster, Cambridge George Ebenezer Foster, Cambridge John Nathaniel Foster, of Biggleswade Francis John Foster, of Biggleswade John Ryland, draper, of Biggleswade Samuel Conder, auctioneer, of Biggleswade William Burton, butcher, of Biggleswade John Jeffries, watchmaker, of Biggleswade John Marsom Green, merchant's clerk, of Biggleswade to premises as in schedule 1 on trust for purposes expressed in Indenture of 6 April 1844 enrolled in Chancery 16 April [(l) John Foster, Blythe Foster (II) as (I) plus Richard Foster etc as in 1844 Admission (above)] whereas: all the above have died except John Nathaniel Foster & John Marsom Green recites: Admission 28 April 1848 of John Nathaniel Foster to cottage as in schedule 2 recites: 27 November 1867 Conveyance of certain freehold premises & Covenant to Surrender Copyhold (i.e. Schedule 2) (i) John Nathaniel Foster (ii) Edward John Foster William Fowler of Town of Huntingdon, esquire (iii) Blythe Foster Henry Staples Foster George Ebenezer Foster Samuel Conder In consideration of: £350 & they have remained in possession of the messuage on the site occupied by the minister of the Baptist Chapel at Biggleswade & described in schedule 2. whereas: Blythe Foster was survivor of (iii) & died 14 October 1871 leaving (i) his heir at law & by virtue of will of said Blythe dated 27 August 1869, devisee of his trust estates whereas: James Batson etc as in ii) have been elected trustees & have requested i) to surrender premises to them now: i) surrender to use of ii) on trust - premises as in schedules 1 & 2 27 February 1873 Schedule 1. - tenement now & for many years past used as a meeting place for Society of Protestant Dissenters of the Baptist Denomination at Biggleswade with vestry, burial ground & appurtenances. : South garden & yard formerly of William Barker late of John Foster now of James Haile & Daniel Dolby : West cottage late of John Foster now by messuage in schedule 2 : North orchard or garden formerly of Edward Rudd now of Frederick Conder : East lane leading from Back Lane into Hancock Field Schedule 2.
