whereas: John Robinson late of Denston Hall, Suffolk was seised of property, surrendered it to use of will; will dated 17 July 1769 devising all to John Meggott Elweys, esquire, General John Lambton & Joseph Palmer, gentleman as trustees to convey the estates to his son John Robinson for life with remainder to trustees to preserve contingent remainder. Testator died 1772; trustees admitted, since deceased; heir at law of John Lambton (the survivor) is minor & has not been admitted. John Robinson the son has contracted for redemption of land tax on Biggleswade copyhold lands & freehold estates at Wrestlingworth & other freehold estates in Denston, Stradishall, Wickhambrook & Stansfield Suffolk, late estate of John Robinson deceased & desires to sell part of estate to finance said redemption. Public Auction held at Sun, Biggleswade at which Dennis Herbert of Biggleswade, merchant, bid £440. now: i) John Robinson the son surrenders to ii) Dennis Herbert - property as X440/330 free & discharged from Land Tax
