    i) Thomas Marshall, senior, yeoman Thomas Marshall junior, butcher, one of sons of above ii) John Trustram of Henlow, brewer Mary Trustram one of the daughters of above iii) John Thurgood of Baldock, Hertfordshire, maltster Thomas Reynolds of the same, butcher marriage intended between Thomas Marshall junior & Mary Trustram In consideration of £400 paid by John Trustram to Thomas Marshall junior & copyhold lands of manor of Langford of which said Mary is possessed in own right. Thomas Marshall senior conveys to iii) A. - all that is freehold of 4 little cottages near Queen's Head back gate in Biggleswade late in occupation William Pope, John Tarr, Alexander Endersby & John Albion & now of said John Tarr, William Pope & George Lincoln B. - close 12 acres formerly 4 closes, in occupation of Nathaniel Atterton & now of i) purchased by him of Reverend Audley Britain & wife Elizabeth to hold on trust for Thomas Marshall senior until the marriage, then A. to use of Thomas Marshall junior & said Mary & the survivor for life; B. to use of Thomas Marshall senior & wife Elizabeth & the survivor for life & then to Thomas Marshall junior & wife & the survivor for life, then A. & B. to use of their issue...[details of provisions] recites: Lease and Release 16 & 17 October 1745 now Thomas Marshall senior declares that said John Taylor shall stand seised of the premises in trust for iii) whereas: Thomas Marshall senior is seised of copyhold premises of the manor of Biggleswade C. - Queen's Head Inn late in occupation of Robert Cooper now John Pryor at 3s 10d per annum - 3 cottagess belonging to above occupied by Robert Christmas, James Pepper & John Howard now divided into 4 in occupation of James Pepper, William Hawkins, Valentine Beldame & widow Lincoln - such part as is copyhold of premises A. above now in occupation of George Lincoln, Thomas Albion, William Pope & John Tarr now further: Thomas Marshall senior will within 1 month surrender said premises to use of Thomas Marshall senior until said marriage, then to use of Thomas Marshall junior for life, then to use of said Mary for life, then on trusts as for freehold above witness: John Bury, Thomas Taylor copy examined 28 December 1832 by Edward Argles solicitor Biggleswade & George Webster, Biggleswade
