(i) Daniel Chapman; Joseph Margetts Pierson, John Marshall

reciting: that D. Chapman & J.M. Pierson were seised of 2/3 of a wharf, cottages & hereditaments in Biggleswade; that Henry Crabb a minor of 18 was seised of the other 1/3; that Chapman & Pierson with John Crabb deceased carried on a business of merchants at Hitchin & Biggleswade & that since the death of John Crabb, Chapman, Pierson & the executors of Crabb, on behalf of Henry Crabb had carried on the trade; they wished to give up & Chapman, Pierson & John Marshall had agreed to sell John Croft the wharf, premises, business & stock at £3550 of which £50 be paid 1 January & then £500 yearly. John Croft should charge the real estate at Biggleswade with payments.
recites: the 2/3 part of Chapman & Pierson has been conveyed to Croft for £1183.6.8 but the whole of the purchase money is still due so there is now due to ii) £1450 & £3550 totalling £5000
now: in consideration of £5000 acknowledged by i) to be owing to ii), i) conveys to ii)
- cottage with appurtenances in Stratton Street, Biggleswade
- garden & close of pasture belonging to above occupied by Nicholas Salmon & Robert Burton Lindsell
- 1 rood 5 perches ground in Stratton Street on which have been erected several stables, coach houses & other edifices which have lately been converted into cottages in occupation of William Minks, William Wilson, John Garton, Riley Smith, Sam Wilson, John Cooper, William Martin, Robert Taylor, William Mays & Thomas Cole
- 3 cottages fronting Stratton Street with garden belonging, now in occupation of John Hankin, Thomas Hopkin & one untenanted
- messuage lately built on said piece of garden & fronting London Road occupied by Elizabeth Floyd widow
- 2/3 & the other part & shares of i) in:
