    Milton Ernest - Bedford Road. A black and white photographic postcard showing the Bedford Road, with a house in the background with a garden surrounded by fences or hedges and a small gate entrance. There are several mature trees in the garden. From the message on the back of the postcard, it appears it is the gardener's cottage on Lord Ampthill's Estate of Milton Ernest Hall. Lord Ampthill sold the estate in 1906. Postcard published by J Horden & Son, Wholesale Stationers, Wellingborough.

    Postally unused but message written on back of card reads "The reverse shows my first billet when I came here. It is the gardener's house on Lord Ampthill's estate here. You will see the mass of chestnut blossom on the trees, which are at present in full bloom. I think this is the prettiest part of Milton Ernest."
