    i) Joseph Albertson, Kensington, Philadelphia, USA, boatbuilder ii) Robert Elye, otherwise Robert Potter, Philadelphia, gentleman iii) William Longshore, Philadelphia and wife Ellen iv) Sarah Elye Elye, Little Gonerby, Grantham, Lincolnshire, widow recites: - will of Penelope Huddlestone, late of Bottesford, spinster, dated 6 December 1808 by which she devised all real estate (moeity of land at Melton Mowbray, and at Lewstern, Buckminster, Leicestershire) to Richad Bartram in trust for niece Penelope Frances, wife of Reverend Leonard Towne, for life, and then to iv), Leonard Elye Towne and John Elye Towne, the three children of said niece, as tenants in common. She died 1810. Will proved (Leicester) on 24 October 1810 - John Elye Towne (under name of Robert Potter) made his will dated 6 August 1850, attested as required by law of England. By will bequeathed certain monies to wife Mary. Residue of real and personal estate in trust until son should attain 21. When 21, i) as trustee to pay to testator's wife, 1/2 dividends etc for life. One full moiety of residuary estate (subject to wife's part) in trust for ii), and other moiety (subject etc) in trust for support of Ellen Longshore, after she attains 24, for life, and then for children. Wife and i) appointed executors. Testator died in 1851 and will proved on 13 October 1851 in Registers Office in Philadelphia - Robert Elye has assumed surname of Elye in compliance with will of Reverend Leonard Towne now i) with approbation of ii) and iii) has agreed to sell to iv) for £500: - equal 1/6th part to which John Elye Towne was entitled in lands in Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire (60 acres) now in occupancy of Thomas Watson - equal 1/3 part in 2 closes land (18 acres) at Lewsterne, Buckminster and now in occupancy of executors of Amos Jackson signatures of i), ii) and iii) endorsed receipt witnesses: Henry Cramond Benjamin Rush certificate of separate examination of Ellen Longshore. Another certificate attached. letter requestin iv) to pay £500 to Messrs Lawford & Waterhouse of Drapers Hall, London 27 December 1855
