Encloses Lord Palmerston's answer. Is glad for the good name of Lord Grey and SW that the political fat is in the fire again. No one could suppose that Lord Grey would serve under Wellesley. Lord Grey and SW must have the direction of the state in the long run, and it is not worth their while to depart from their steady course for place or power.
