- Scope and Contentto Martha Bedford of Bedford, widow, for life, and then to sisters Martha Dymoke and Susan Dymoke, spinsters, and their heirs - dwelling house in the parish of St. Paul, Bedford, purchased of William Carter Esquire, with appurtenances - meadow called Hookes Meadow, and close of pasture adjoining called Little Hooks, and close of ploughed ground adjoining called the Grove in Cranfield, in the occupation of William Burley or his assigns to said Martha Bedford, all household goods, linen, gold watch, two Diamond rings, and all other goods and chattels. Martha Bedford to pay all debts, legacies, and funeral expences to Martha Bedford, all ready money and securities to Samuel Jemmett of Great Barford, 100 guineas, plus £10 to buy him mourning, and 10 guineas to buy a diamond ring to father, 10s. to buy a mourning ring ''and no more'' Appoints Samuell Jemmatt as executor witnesses: Joseph Grey, Elizabeth Brown, John Grey certified by: Jo. Searle & William Stubbs, notaries public made 13 December 1721 proved Prerogative Court of Canterbury 13 June 1727 endorsed: receipt by William Stubbs for the original will, taken from the Prerogative Court of Canterbury to be produced at the next Assizes at Bedford, with promise to return it immediately after the end of the Assizes. witness: Jo.
