    i) Trustees of the Bedford Charity ii) Thomas Kilpin, ironmonger, Reverend Samuel Hillyard, Protestant Dissenting Minister, William Berill, bricklayer, Ebenezer Malden, baker, Richard Hensman, butcher, all of Bedford, & John Prole of Cardington, yeoman. iii) John Langley of Bedford, tailor Recites that by "An Act for the better management and disposition of the estates given by Sir William Harpur, Knight, and Dame Alice his wife for a free and perpetual school in the Town of Bedford, and of the rents and profits thereof", 7 Geo. IV [1826/7], i) have agreed with ii) for property B to be conveyed to i) in exchange for property A and £1,200 Whereas: iii) "hath or may be considered to have some estate or interest in" property B as a trustee for ii) "it hath been thought right that ... he should concur in these presents." NOW consideration: 10s. paid by ii) to i), i) grant to ii) - A. piece or parcel of garden ground in parish of St. Peter, Bedford, extending from Harpur Street on the north to Queen's Head Lane on the south, in the occupation of John Whitehouse and William Swepson, which was purchased by i) from the devisees in trust named in the will of the late William Watkins, deceased. ALSO consideration: grant of property A and £1,200 paid by i) to ii), ii) grant to i) - B. messuage or tenement with garden adjoining on the west side of Angel Street in the parish of St. Paul, Bedford, formerly in the occupation of Ebenezer Chandler, afterwards of James Belsham, and since of Frances Saunderson, and now in the occupation of Samuel Hillyard. :N. cottages and premises purchased by the Trustees of the Bedford Charity of William Tucker :E. Angel Street :S. messuage and garden lately purchased by the Trustees of the Bedford Charity of Thomas Gurney Esquire. :W. orchard hereinafter described. - orchard or garden (1/2 acre) in the parish of St. Paul, Bedford, formerly in the occupation of Joshua Symonds, but now of the said Samuel Hillyard :W. land of the Trustees of the Bedford Charity :E. messuage described above endorsed: receipt by ii) to i) for £1,200 also endorsed: [1971] note of registration of freehold title in H.M. Land Registry, no BD 29157 witnesses: R.H. Gibbon, Clerk to Messrs. Pearse & Son, Solicitors, Bedford Theed Pearse Junr.
