Scope and Content
Sarah Dennis died in March 1832 intestate and unmarried leaving Hannah Pressland the wife of Daniel Pressland her only sister and sole next of kin. Letters of administration granted by PCC 3 may 1832. Hannah Pressland died January 1841 leaving her husband surviving. Daniel Pressland died 3 February 1841 having made his will appointing William Blott of Higham Ferrers, farmer and Thomas Gwyn Elger of Bedford executors. Thomas Gwyn Elger died April 1841 leaving William Blott surviving. The principal sum of £70 was still due Whitehurst beneficially interested. Benjamin Johnson in reduced circumstances and unable to pay £70 Mr Blott and Mr Whitehurst agree to £30 in full discharge.
