- Scope and Content'I begin to think of moving, my sister [Elizabeth Hume-Campbell] says she wants me and she is not quite well, I fear.' Understands that Lord Polwarth has an increase in cough. Will be in London before going to Hemel Hempstead, so will attend to the books. Have passed two pleasant days at Windsor. '...The young people showed that sort of liking that promises well I think, and my future daughter's behaviour was interesting and very affectionate to me...' The whole royal family gathered together was a sight. Adds further comments. Frank [son Francis Henry Barker] goes to school on Thursday and the following monday Grandmama departs fro Hemel Hempstead. Lord Delaware is soon to be married to a young rich accomplished jewess; she will have a fortune of £70,000 the day she marries at her own disposal.
