    Abstract of conveyence of 7 May 1920 Parties: (i) Mary Jarvis of 73 Midland Road Bedford, Widow and Henry Young Junior of 170 Bromham (vendors) (ii) Charles Wells Ltd (purchasors) reciting: -Robert Page Jarvis and Walter Jarvis of Bedford, Brewers of Jarvis & Co, owned property, subject to Mortgage of 28 July 1892 - Lease of 15 December 1905 from the Trustees of Bedford Charity (1) to Robert Page Jarvis and Walter Jarvis of Bedford, Brewers of Jarvis & Co (2) - Will of R P Jarvis, dated 1898, appointing his wife Louisa Jarvis and John James Bedney Arter executors, probate by J J B Arter on 9 March 1912, Louisa Jarvis died without proving reserved power on 15 October 1915 - Will of W Jarvis dated 20 October 1914 appointing (i) as executors, probate by (i), 10 April 1915 in Northampton - Indenture made 4th December 1915 from J J B Arter to (i) releasing all property of R P Jarvis or W Jarvis to (i) - (i) were tenants -(i) had carried on the business of Jarvis & Co -Conditional contract of 20 September 1917 where (i) agreed to sale to (ii) of specified holdings and goodwill etc of said business for £90,000 - Order of Chancery, 29 October 1917 in an action re. estate of W Jarvis, Mary Ann Arnold, named tenant for life under will of W Jarvis, plaintiff (1) and (i) as executors of said Will, defendents (2). It was ordered that said conditional contract be carried into effect, and purchase money paid into Court -Said purchase price was finally approved by and paid into Court - Award of Enfranchisement under seal of Board of Agriculture & Fisheries, dated 6 August 1918, whereby holdings were enfranchised and discharged from all fines etc -£315.10.0 and current interest remaining on security of mortgage of 28 July 1892 Operative Part: (ii) pays £9000 and £70,000, (i) conveys (a) to (ii) Property: (a) messuage or public house in Midland Rd (formerly called Well Street) in the Town of Bedford known as "The Shoulder of Mutton" with the stable yard and hereditaments, now in the occupation of Frederick Redman Annotation: 'Original produced and examined at the office of Tebbs & Son, Bedford, 20/3/1964'
