- Scope and ContentElection stale now. Supposes this weather very proper for Polwarth's hunting - "I hear almost every day the cry of hounds in my neighbourhood. Lord Melbourne's have been so obliging as to drive several foxes this way who have made bold with a little poultry...I think Lord Polwarth may set the fashion of wearing a coat lined with foxskins; I should be very glad if such was the taste, it would help off more of those mischievous gentlemen than the hounds do".
