The girl Mrs Wray mentions for nurserymaid sounds suitable, except that she is so young; is she strong for her age, and what wages has she had? Sukey has £8 per annum. Tommy is still fond of the workmen. Wishes they would lodge out of town when they return. Amused with account of Joseph, who seems to be of a true seaman-like disposition by total carelessness about clothes; glad he is returned. Sir Joseph's presents to wife; she and sister alarmed at seeming necessity of always talking French with her.
