    "We have jointly done all we can to execute your commissions, and are sorry that no flowers are yet come from the nursery gardens, nor no answer yet returned about them." Gardener will send by Miss Gregory an account of the contents of the hothouse... "we have had out of it some French beans and some strawberries... As to the flower borders, the azalea, kalmia, 3 or 4 dwarf roses, clethera etc. are all there, and he says he has put some of the blue and white convolvulus, and that when he puts the annuals in, such as balsams, everlastings, marvels, the place will look sufficiently full." Wants to know whether he may "take away the weeping willow planted near the gravel walk just at the turn of the water... one hard winter almost killed it... he has a fine young one of his educating to put in its room about 8-9´ high. Nothing has been done to intended walk since Christmas. "I have not yet spoke myself to Seckham about it, appears workmen have been too busy, would like to get walk and seats finished before Jemima comes. Little library not yet begun, great library will not be habitable for some time, but the drawing room does very well.
