    Insurance Policy No. 2673948 from Sun Fire Office initially issued to Mary Caroline Oddie, gentlewoman, of Aston Cottage, Aston, Hertfordshire on 24th October 1877, in relation to property in Aston. Policy covers: her private, brick and tiled dwelling house and offices; her household goods, furniture, fixtures, linen, wearing apparel, clocks, wathces, trinkets, printed books, plate, wine and other liquors in private use; her china, earthenware, glass and looking-glasses; her musical instruments and printed music; her mathematical and philosophical instruments and apparatus; her prints, paintings, drawings and sculptures; her jewels and precious stones. Policy cost 15s 4d annually due on 29th September each year. Signed by trustees of the society: P P Bouverie, C R Littledale and Mr Shilcock of Hitchin. Witnessed by: H J W Read. The policy terms and conditions are printed on the reverse of the document. 17 November 1939: Interest in the policy becomes the property of Thomas and Lilian Rockliffe of Aston School House, Aston, Stevenage, Hertfordshire, signed on behalf of Torr & Co, solicitors for the personal representative of the said Mary Caroline Oddie.
