Insurance Policy No. 113365 from Sun Fire Office initially issued to John Scruby, mealman, of Barkway, Hertfordshire on 15th September 1748, in relation to property in Barkway, Hertfordshire.
Policy covers: his two tenements under one roof, timber and thatched, in the tenure of himself and Richard Wittock, labourer; household goods and stock therein; two adjoining thatched barns; goods and stock therein; and one thatched barn behind the house.
Policy cost 10s 3d annually due on 29 September each year.
