  • Title
Sent from Pall Mall. Apparently in answer to being urged to relinquish her engagement with Egerton. "My chief fault was in ...the beginning in not breaking it entirely off whilst I thought it inconsiderable... now I think both parties too much interested for the one to give up ... without the agreement... of the other." Cannot agree that the "person I always wished to be guided by"[late Duchess?] would have been entirely against it. Possibility of her staying with Lady Grey. Can she put what few things she has in a room in St James' Square?
