Created as Mixed Board Schools in 1874, becoming a Girls School in 1877 when boys moved to Park Street and Waller Street, becoming a Council School in 1903, a Junior Council in 1932 and a CSM in 1946, amalgamated with Chapel Street Girls CSM in 1955 to create Chapel Langley Girls CSM. The Infants school amalgamated with the Girls department under one head mistress 1st Feb 1928, closed in 1932.
