'... my library qiestion, I thought of seeing whether A. Mansbridge would desire it for his Students Central Library. He welcomes the idea very heartily ... my books are nearly all above sixth form standard so if ..[they].. went to you they would be mainly show books.' Would like to give money for a yearly purchase of a of his Napoleon book for a prize, but in must be in an ordinary binding; Mrs Rose's illness is long and expensive, and writer must economise. Refers to working on an enquiry for Lord Phillimore in 1918, which influenced the covenant of the League of Nations. Also refers to his new book 'Man and the Sea'. Hope it sells well or he will be out of pocket, having spent money on illustrations.
