The card carries the message "From Whipsnade Park Dunstable, the property of the Zoological Society of London". The picture shows two elephants with their uniformed keepers carrying sticks, with several adults and children sitting on a saddle like construction on the backs of the elephants.

Card sent from Bedford to Ms Stepwood, Hawthorn Terrace, Rossendale, Lancs. Message reads "Dear Elsie & Sally, Just a PC to say were are going to Rushden today hope you are both OK. I have got some lovely mats for you last night. I will write a letter later and then I shall not write again you will not be long before you see me. I am having a good time here. Harold".
