    Reports on the letters received from England. Handkerchiefs have not yet arrived [sent November 1940]. Comments on war news. The battery marched to Chriwai on Jan 27, following inspection by Charles Broad, who commands Eastern Command. 'He's a nice chap but ....it beats me how he got promoted as high as he has been.' The firing will be 15th, 17th and 18th, then the battery will return to prepare for the move out of state. Sir Frederick Gwatkin, Military Adviser in Chief to Indian State Forces will be there for the firing on 18th. The Cooper's have come to stay. Refers to a letter from Captian Dube about expecting an inspection and an account by the same person of the section's move, written for the annual magazine. Refers to the Muharram festival.
