    Capital £100,000 (in 20,000 Shares of £5 each) Directors R.H.Lindsell, Banker Cornelius Thompson (Chairman of Civil Service Supply Association) 34, The Grove, Boltons, London SW Frederick Archdale, J.P., of Baldock, Herts, Banker George Samuel Hall of 6 Fowkes Buildings, Great Tower Street, London EC & Ely, Cambs (late of the firm of Messrs Joseph & John Vickers & Co of Victoria Street, Westminster) AND George Powers of Broom Hall (Southill),who is to join the Board after the Allotment of Shares 2200 Shares to be taken by the Vendors of the Mill ie Powers & Sons in part payment Agreement entered into to acquire the Mill with the three Powers brothers as the Vendors and the first four of the above Directors as the purchasers dated 29 April 1884 propose erecting a Bakery adjoining the Mill according to the system of Monsieur Mounie of Paris (including detailed description of his Factory in an article by W.Neave Hill in The Miller of 18 October 1882). Fred Powers will "become the Superintendent of the Milling Department, and the Shareholders will therefore have the benefit of that gentleman's experience as a practical miller, extending over 25 years." Reference also to an Agreement between General Bread Company Limited AND first four of the Directors above 1884 NB. The reference to E.F.Powers indicates that this Document must date from before July 1884 when he went Bankrupt.
