contains part of the Cheque dated 22 November 1880, signed by Edmund Powers. Also Letter of 10 November 1874 from Edmund Powers to the Bank stating that the money in his account is to be set against the overdraft of Powers & Sons. Note that the cheque was given to T.J.Hooper NB. See also accompanying Letter (HF41/7/14/1) which was signed by Edmund Powers in an unsteady hand but the letter itself was written by someone else.
