Brother Arthur Stephen Thornton and cousin Edward Brooke Thornton executors and trustees.
Wife during her life and trustees after her death as guardians of infant children.
To wife, Lucy, plate, linen, china, books, pictures, wines, cariages, horses, furniture and other household effects for her own use.
To godsons Mowbray St Andrew Thornton St John and Harry Duberley £50 each.
Residue to executors upon trust to sell, call in and convert into money to pay funeral and testamentary expenses and legacies and to invest to pay the income to my wife during her life for her sole use and upon trust for my two children in equal shares upon their attaining the age of 21 years or marriage. If any child of mine shall die in my lifetime leaving a child or children who shall survive me the share which their parent would have tekn of had they survived.
