- Scope and ContentThis case involved a speculation by a fictitious company; Shoolbred, Race and Company of 127 Piccadilly, Walter Shoolbred’s private address. £1800 was claimed for two hundred tons of linseed cake, sold for £9 per ton and not delivered. In fact the speculation was a private venture by Walter Shoolbred of the firm of drapers based in the Tottenham Court Road with George Race and E F Powers.
