Canon William Hooper was the second son of William Hooper of East Harptree, Somerset, esq. He matriculated at Wadham College, Oxford on 31 January 1855, aged 17. His elder brother John, matriculated at the same College on 8 March 1854. His Career is detailed in Crockford's Clerical Directory for 1916-1917. He died before 1923. Exactly how he was related to Thomas James Hooper is not clear but W.F.A. Fletcher was Trustee of his Marriage Settlement, presumably on the death of Thomas James Hooper.
