    Recites: RO19/26 Whereas: Thomas Chew Gilbert died in lifetime of testator Recites: Chancery Decree 4 April 1744 Valentina Aynescombe, spinster , a minor, plaintiff Sir John Bosworth, Edward Dodd, John Miller, Simon Kerrish and wife Ann,John Smith and wife Elizabeth; defendants Referred to Master in Chancery to take account of personal estate of testator and also his debts, funeral expenses and legacies and also of rents and profits from real estate Whereas: Valentina Aynescombe while a minor, married on 1 January 1746 Lillie Smith of London, merchant, who in March following obtained Act of Parliament to alter his surname to Aynescombe. Said suit abated by reason of said marriage and was revived by order of said court 10 November 1747 Recites: Master's Report 29 March 1748 Certifies that Edward Dodd received from said estate £3,525..4..0½ and had expended £3,438..2..0¼ and had paid all debts except one of £50 to ShermanWall, apothecary, which said Lillie Aynescombe subsequently paid. Edward Dodd died recently, insolvent. Sir John Bosworth received of said estate £53..11..8¾ which he paid over to Dodd. John Miller made account of the sums he had received and discharged up tp 29 April last by which it appears that there was due to him £88..9..8½ which he paid Lillie Aynescombe on 30 July 1747 Charles Thornberry was appointed trustee in place of Edward Dodd Whereas: 4 July last [1748] cause came to be heard on matter of Master's Report; referred to Master to tax costs and ordered real estate to be conveyed to plaintiff NOW: i) at request of ii) release to iii) -all real estate of Thomas Aynescombe devised to said trustees to hold to use of said Valentina for life and then to the issue of her body or in default, 2/3 to be equally divided between Ann wife of Simon Kerrish and Elizabeth wife of John Smith, 1/3 to use of heirs of said Valentina Signatures: i) ii) Witnesses: John Henshaw, John Bosworth, Henry Wagstaff, Thomas Bromley, Francis Cooper, Thomas Sutton clerk to Mr Cooper of Basinghall Street Copy attested by Richard Chetham and Claudius Stephen Hunter, clerks to Messrs Beardsworth
