High Street, Turvey. View looking east towards Bedford from just west of Bamford's Yard. A motor car (a Ford Model T belonging to Henry William Longhurst) is parked in the street with a woman standing beside it; the driver is talking to men standing the other side of the vehicle. No indication of publisher. Postmarked Leicester.

The number plate of the car is BM 3173. This number was first registered to a Ford Model T 4 seater belonging to Henry William Longhurst on the 28 March 1914. The number was transferred to Longhurst's next car, an Overland 5 seater in dark green, on the 9 Jan 1915, which was sold 10 months later to Miss Mabel Ellenbeck of Bedford, who in turn sold it to William Blacklocks of Kent in July 1917.
