    Reciting an indenture of 3 Nov 1857 by which Frederick Davis sold to George Bingham the premises below, Now: CONVEYANCE by (i) to (ii) for £1,204 15s • all that freehold and fully licensed Public House known by the sign of the Red Lion at Woodside, Caddington, together with the blacksmiths shop, cart shed, bakehouse, yard, garden and appurtenances now or formerly in the occupation of George Bingham • the five brick built and slated freehold cottages adjoining the Red Lion Public House, with their wood and coal barns, yard, gardens and appurtenances now or formerly in the several occupations of William Brown, George Waller, John Waters, William Stapleton and Isaac Hoar and containing in the whole 40 poles, having a frontage to the Luton and Market Street Road of 92 feet; a frontage opposite the Spade Public House of 110 feet, and coloured red on the plan in the margin of an indenture dated 3 Nov 1857 made between Paulina Mary Carrington and Frederick Davis, which premises were formerly in the occupation of William Day, William Norris, William Sutton and Thomas Godfrey
