i) Mayor etc of Bedford (acting as Urban Sanitary Authority) ii) Edward Paine Rose and Thomas Rose, 50, High Street, Bedford, draper (trading as E P Rose and Son) ii) to obtain more light in the basement of shop at 50, High Street wish to put patent lights approved by i) in front of their shop, which lights will project over the public footway as shown on plan [not attached] ii) covenant that lights shall be constructed, as approved by the Borough Engineer, and the pavement made good and kept in proper repair ii) will indemnify ii) against any claims ii) will remove said lights within one month if requested ii) to pay 2s 6d p. a. as annual acknowledgement, and cost of stamping the deed signatures, E P Rose, Thomas Rose witness A W Watson, Deeks, Shanklin, chemist
