Gives to brother Hubert Chalkley £200 Luton Water Company 4½% redeemable Preference Stock
Devises and bequeaths remainder of estate to be realised by trustees. Residue to be divided as follows:
- £500 to niece Mary Elizabeth McAfee
- £550 to niece Margaret Dorothy Mayne
- £500 to niece Florence Lilian Chalkley
- £500 to niece Eleanor Mary Andrews
- £500 to Alexander Millen McAfee
- £400 to Miss Ella Bigg of 16 Church Lane, Kimpton “as a token of my appreciation of her friendship and help for many years”
- £5 each to Miss Kate and Miss Ethel Bigg of 16 Church Lane, Kimpton
- £150 to Walter Ingrey Cole
- £50 each to Mrs May Tompkins (late of Wandon End) and Mrs Lily Ward, both of Batford near Harpenden
- £30 to Kathleen Cole
- £30 to Miss Joan Fraser of 20 Argyle Street, Inverness
- £30 to Mrs Empsie Desborough (widow) of Valley Farm, Codicote
- £20 to Miss Ivy Chipperfield of 9 High Street, Kimpton
- residue to be divided between niece Mary Elizabeth McAfee and Alexander Millem McAfee
Gives:
- piano to great niece Susan McAfee
- bureau to niece Mary Elizabeth McAfee
- dresses and coats to the Kimpton Welcome Club and remainder of clothing to Ella Bigg
Declares all remainder of the furniture at 17 High Street Kimpton including bedding, china etc. belongs to her brother Hubert Chalkley.
