    (1) Richard Antonie of Colworth (Landlord). (2) Theophilus Woodward of Riseley, Yeoman (tenant). Messuage or tenement and several closes. Viz:- Long Close or Home Close, 5 Shilling Close, 12 Shilling Close, Hill Ground, Hill Ground Spinney, Low Clipsey, Bushey Leys Wood or Wood Close, Bushey Leys, and 8 Acre Close (139Acres) now or late in occupance of John Rysely and lying in parishes of Sharnbrook and Souldrop. Antonie messuage or tenemant, barns, outhouses, fences, gates and stiles to be put into good and tenantable repair and will back fence the hedge lately cut next to the road leading to Sharnbrook. Woodward to pay all tithes and taxes except Land Tax. Penanlty of £5 per annum per acre payable for every acre ploughed up without Antonie's consent, EXCEPT such of the pasture grounds which lie on the north side of the Brook which have been formerly ploughed and such as he shall so plow and break up shall take three cropps and then make a summers tilth therof and lay the same down in a good and Husbandlike manner with such grass seeds and in such manner as he the said Richard Antonie, his Heirs or Assigns shall direct, he leaving the like number of acres at the end of the said Term as he now enters upon. Clause against Tenant assigning without consent of Landlord in writing. Tenant will not take more that two grain crops on any common field lands nor more than three crops on 'such of the lands as he shall plow up and then summer fallow them' 'and that he will not lop or cut any timber, trees or trees likely to become timber but such as have been usually lopped or any hedges but at seasonable times and of a fit growth and that when and as often as he cuts or plashes any hedges or part of a hedge that he will back fence the same and scour up the ditch where any ditch was before in a good and Husbandlike manner so as to preserve the said hedge or hedges from spoil or destruction by cattle by counter fencing or dead fencing the same.' Not sell or carry away timber from the premises i.e. to be used on premises. Not sell etc Hay, Straw, Stover, Dung, Muck or Compost, use it on promises, 'and leave the last years dung to proceed from the Corn to be growing on the said Premises the next Harvest after' + dung now in the Yard and dung to be made from the crops. Right of Way of Richard Antonie over Home Close etc to his woods. Tenant to deliver 2 chaldrons of coal from Bedford at Colworth House. Liberty to dig in store pits reseved to Richard Antonie. Rent £75 per annum.
