    - capital messuage in Hogton’ and all his arable lands in the aforesaid village with meadows, pastures and pasture lands, marshy and dry, hedges, ways, dikes and ditches, commons with the lordship of all free tenants and his serfs in the aforesaid village, with the rents etc. Reserving to the lord Henry, Nigel Burde with all his services and customary dues. And reserving the part of the Lady Alice, mother of the said Henry, in the services of the said freemen and serfs From Monday next after the feast of St.Hilary [15 January 1302] for 12 years Paying annually to i) 16 quarters of corn, 6 quarters of barley, 6 quarters of dredge* of which two parts should be barley, 7 quarters of beans and peas, the aforesaid (prelibatus) grain to be ?threshed (mundum), pure, dry and good viz; at Michaelmas 4 quarters of corn at Christmas 4 quarters of corn and 4 quarters of barley and 4 quarters of dredge at the Annunciation of the Blesses Virgin Mary 4 quarters of corn, 2 quarters barley and 2 quarters of dredge and three quarters of beans and peas at feast of St.John the Baptist 4 quarters of corn and 4 quarters of beans and peas and so on from tear to year until the end of the term to be paid at the house of said Henry at Ronhal and at the end of the last year he is to hand over the house and buildings well maintained, the land well sowed and maintained and the serfs….[?] Seal: inverted, on parchment tag; black wax; diameter of impression ¾". legend; + S.GALFRIDI.
