- TitleCharles Grey to Samuel Whitbread II.
- Date free text13 July 1802
- Production dateFrom: 1802 To: 1802
- Scope and ContentWishes he had never had anything to do with Sheridan's business. Had a few lines from Hesther [Sheridan's second wife was Hester or Esther Ogle, for whom Charles Grey and Samuel Whitbread were trustees] asking for the matter to be dropped, but had told her it was a matter in which they had no discretion. It would be hard to prosecute for such an amount with anyone but Sheridan. Plumer continues to give satisfaction. Glad did not get Lord Oxmanton's (?) letter to prevent hiring him. The election takes place 19th. Ord's friends are sanguine at Morpeth. Has asked Lord Morpeth & Delme to come to him. Mary is well. Love to sister. Lauderdale told writer he could frank to 40 days after dissolution.
