- TitleCharles Grey, Howick, to Samuel Whitbread II: transcript at W1/2406
- Date free text24 November 1797
- Production dateFrom: 1797 To: 1797
- Scope and ContentHas made enquiry about Mary Sinclair, will desire Harrison to enquire about her. Did not suspect Tierney of going over to Pitt. Pitt seems to have been in insolent mood. Trevelyan & others are to call a county meeting. At the last election he proposed Beaumont - an idiot who should have joined his Regiment in the West Indies but never did. If a considerable party thinks writer should resign, he will. If it takes place & Pitt's taxation comes off cannot hope to move to London. Wishes Wm. & Tom Adkin could come & shoot woodcock. Love to Bessy.
